Is The Villa Grace legally licensed for holiday lettings?

Yes. We hold a Spanish Tourist License which means you can book with confidence as we are legally licensed for holiday lettings. Our license number is E-35/2/0214

What time is check-in?

Check-In time is 3pm.

If you require an earlier check-in, please let us know at the time of booking. Accommodating your request will depend upon whether we have guests vacating.

As I’m sure you can appreciate, we need to ensure the villa is inspected and prepared to the highest of standards before any guest arrives and this is not something we are willing to rush. However, we will do our best to be as flexible as possible.

What time is check-out?

Check-out time is 10am.

If you require a later check-out time, please let us know at the time of booking. Accommodating your request will depend upon whether we have guests arriving. As I’m sure you can appreciate, we need to ensure the villa is inspected and prepared to the highest of standards before any guest arrives and this is not something we are willing to rush. However, we will do our best to be as flexible as possible.

We reserve the right to charge a late check-out fee where the agreed check-out time on day of departure is more than 4 hours from our normal check-out time.

How can I book?

1. Firstly please check our availability to ensure your holiday dates are available.
2. Then Contact Us via email, messenger or complete our Contact Form. Please provide details of your requested dates, your party including number of children/ages. Please confirm whether you need the pool safety fence too (there is an additional cost to hire).
3. We will confirm your request and price by sending to you a Booking Contract and Booking Form for completion.
4. To secure a booking, we request the return of the completed Booking Form and payment of the Booking Deposit and Refundable Booking Deposit.
5. Once we have received the completed Booking Form and payment then we will confirm your reservation.
6. Then you can start the countdown to your wonderful holiday in the sunshine.
7. We will send a reminder when the Final Payment is due (due at least 8 weeks prior to your arrival).

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payment by bank transfer.

What happens if I need to cancel?

In the event that you need to cancel your booking, your request to cancel must be made in writing.
You may cancel your break at any time. However, a fee will be charged as follows:

Please ensure that you have adequate travel Insurance cover at the time of booking which would include cover for cancellation for the total booking period.

Is car hire essential?

No, car hire is not essential.

Our villa is just a 15 minute taxi journey from the airport.

From the villa, it is a 10/15 flat stroll to the nearest golden sandy beach, supermarket, playground, shops, café and restaurants (Atlántico Centre).

There is a beach promenade to the main part of Caleta.  Taxis are readily available and cost approx. 5 euros around Caleta.  There is a free coach that stops off at all the major hotels. There is a tourist train that kiddies love that runs the length of the resort (this is chargeable).

Can you recommend a car hire company?

Should you wish to hire a car to explore the island there are a number of car hire companies available.

We prefer to book in advance with Autoreisen (http://www.arcarhire.com/car-hire/car-hire.php).  The condition of the vehicle and price has been competitive and has included the hire of child car seats, an additional driver and insurance.  But please do check thoroughly at time of booking.

Autoreisen has a check-in desk at the airport.  As you come out of the arrivals hall turn left, check-in and pick up your car keys (and child car seat if booked), walk out of the arrivals hall, cross the road, up the ramp and into the car hire carpark.

At time of writing the airport luggage trolleys are widely available in the baggage hall and are free

Is your villa suitable for a family with a teenager?

Yes, we have Wi-Fi! They can stay connected with the outside world!

So, assuming you can get your teenagers out of the pool then we have an Xbox 360 with a selection of games for all ages (including 2 controllers) – you are welcome to bring your own games too.

We have internet TV with loads of British channels and some SKY channels too and a movie library.

There is a McDonalds within 10/15 minutes stroll from the villa too!

For those that want to be more active there is: cycle hire, beach sports, sand buggy trips, fishing trips, swim with sea lions, learn how to skateboard, there are lots of things to do!

Is your villa suitable for a family with a baby?

Yes, having 3 children ourselves we have tried to think of everything!

On arrival our travel cot will be ready for you.

We have lots of baby items including: Avent Microwave steriliser, hand blender, plastic bowls, Chicco high chair, baby toys, baby rocker, play mat etc.

We also have a pool safety fence for hire. The roof terrace has a lockable gate to prevent unsupervised access.

The nearest supermarket sells everything you need in terms of nappies, wipes, food etc.

The local Chinese delivers for those nights where you just want to put your baby to bed, relax and have a takeaway!

And, the paths are pushchair friendly, which is great if you want to go out for a walk.

Is your villa suitable for two families?

Yes, we have two lovely relaxing “mum and dad” bedrooms (the master bedroom and the double bedroom). These two stylish bedrooms are located at separate ends of the villa. In between these rooms is the twin bedroom and single bedroom room. There are two separate bathrooms too. The family bathroom is located next to the double bedroom and the master bedroom has its own en-suite.

There is plenty of seating inside and out. The villa officially caters for 7 plus little ones too.

Do you have a travel cot/child bed guard?

Yes, we have two of both!

We have a Joie excursion travel cot which has a changing table and a baby rocker. And, we also have a Mamas and Papas travel cot.
We provide a proper thick mattress and baby travel cot linen. Feel free to bring your own baby linen if you prefer.

We also have two bed guards for those children who tend to end up topsy turvey in bed!

Please confirm whether you need these items at time of booking. There is no charge.

Do you have a high chair?

Yes, we have a lovely Chicco highchair with a three point harness and removable tray.
We also have a travel chair booster seat too.

Do you have air conditioning?

Yes, we have air conditioning in all 4 bedrooms and in the lounge.

Is there a cost for air conditioning?

Yes, cost provided upon request.

Is the pool heated?

Yes, in the winter months (October to May).

Is there a cost for pool heating?

Yes, cost provided upon request.

What is the temperature of the pool?

The temperature of the pool depends very much upon the ambient air temperature and ensuring that the solar cover is pulled over the pool whenever the pool is not in use – we cannot stress this enough. The solar cover uses the heat of the sun and in the winter the pool heater to retain the temperature of the pool, once the pool cover is removed then the water temperature will drop.

In the winter months (October to May) our pool is heated to warm 28°C. To retain this temperature still relies on the solar cover being on the pool whenever the pool is not in use.

Do you have a pool safety fence for hire?

Yes we do, the pool safety fence can be hired.

Our pool safety fence is Protect-A-Child. The purpose of the pool safety fence is to prevent a child from entering the pool unattended and consequently provide parents with a certain level of peace of mind. A watchful eye is still required, it is your responsibility to ensure that your children are supervised at all times.

If you do require the pool safety fence, please request this at time of booking. If you have chosen to hire the pool safety fence then it will be ready and installed for your stay. Please do not remove the pool safety fence at any point in time. If you wish for the pool safety fence to be removed during your stay then please contact the Property Management Team.

What is the size of the pool?

Our beautiful pool is approximately 4 m wide by 7.5m in length. There are steps leading into the pool along with a pool safety rail too.

Do you accept pets?

No, pets are not allowed.

Does the villa have a smoking policy?

The villa has a strict no-smoking policy within the building and grounds. Please smoke or vape outside of the property gates and dispose of your cigarettes in a safe manner. Please do not litter or leave disregarded cigarettes on the floor. This is our family home and we would like to keep it looking and smelling fresh and clean for all the guests we host. We also hope to keep our community litter free and cause no upset to our neighbours.

Do you have a BBQ?

Yes, we do. We have a BBQ which you are welcome to use. BBQ charcoal can be purchased from the local Spar supermarket. Please ensure you use the BBQ utensils when cooking food on the BBQ. Please can you ensure that you clean the BBQ after use, thank you.
